About The Unionville Gallery installation:

The landscape paintings are done in “Plein Air”, meaning, in the open air, painting on location in an open air experience. Quite often I return to the spot under the same light and seasonal conditions. Some further work may be completed in the studio. The frames are crafted by hand and built of reclaimed wood from local 19th century barns and out buildings.  After hand sanding, milk paint and waxes are applied and rubbed to a finish that is appropriate to the series or individual piece.
